My Top Five Beauty Tips

After many hits and misses with learning how to do makeup and what products are best for my skin, there are some tips that I stand by and believe are so important for everyone, regardless of skin type. From skin care to beauty techniques here are five tips that will definitely create a seamless makeup application and results!

Tip number one is to make sure to moisturize twice a day. This is important for all skin types, not just dry skin. Moisturizing helps keep the oils on your face balanced so it’s super important that you moisturize so that your skin isn’t dry, or producing excess oils to makeup for lack of moisture. Tip number two is to let your concealer sit on your skin before blending it.This may sound far fetched, but after applying the concealer to your under eyes if you let it sit for about 20-30 seconds and blend it out the coverage looks fuller and conceals the under eye area beautifully. The third tip is to spray your beauty sponge with a facial mist before blending your foundation. This step helps foundation blend so naturally and seamlessly and helps avoid a cakey appearance. Tip number four is to spray setting spray on the face before applying highlighter. When applying the highlighter to a damp face the highlight pops and sticks to the cheekbones beautifully and causes an even stronger reflective effect. The fifth and final tip that I can’t emphasize enough is to make sure your false lashes are the right size for your eyes. Before applying the glue and putting them on it’s important to put them on your lids to see if they’re too long, and if so cut the excess off otherwise it will affect the way the eye makeup looks and how your eyes are shaped.

These five tips have completely changed the way I do my makeup and I hope they can be of benefit to you too!
